The Discovery Pico Laser (or picosecond laser) is a step up from the ever-popular 0-Switched Laser and is available in both ablative and non-ablative modes. It is used to remove pigmentation, acne scars, rejuvenate and brighten the skin, and remove tattoos.

Picosecond laser pulses are used in the Pico Laser, as opposed to nanosecond pulses in a Q-Switched Laser.

A Picosecond Laser has a 100x shorter pulse duration (how long one laser shot stays on the skin) than a Q-Switched Laser. This means that a Picosecond Laser can fire more shots in the same amount of time.

Pico laser technology allows for the timely, effective, and highly selective treatment of pigmented lesions and tattoos (in treatable colors). This laser also increases elastin production in the skin, making it appear softer, fuller, and more youthful.

The Pico laser works by delivering ultra-short pulses of energy to specific problem areas without the use of heat. The laser has a powerful impact on the skin, shattering problematic skin pigment or particles. The body then naturally eliminates these.
